Amiga-Specific Terminology:
Based on the fact that Amiga-like OS'es share a common root which is the
Classic Amiga Operating System of the early 90's, it's not unusual that
they also share the same Amiga terminology that describes both hardware
and software

These, in no particular order, consist of Workbench, Drawer, Kickstart,
Prefs, Volumes, Ram Disk, Glow Icons, def Icons, Skins, Datatypes,
Shell, Arexx, Screenmode, Planar, Chunky, Hold-and-Modify, Retargetable,
and several more Amiga terms that you will hear or read about
continually while using any flavor of AROS on a regular basis.

Amiga-Specific Locations:
The Amiga Operating system had it's own particular layout structure
that was different than other operating systems of the time period.

Assigns: Volumes, Libs, Prefs, c, s, L, Workbench, Devs,
SYS: RAM: WORK: CLI

AROS Distributions:
There are several different distributions of AROS aka Distros that
are updated, maintained & distributed by dedicated, hard-working
AROS users. Each distro is a collection of applications and appearances,
including backgrounds, icons and themes that give the distro it's identity.
